I have a mole on my lower ack. It has always been there (I think). It is not symmetrical, it’s slightly raised and larger them a pencil eraser. The color varies from dark brown to light brown. I know it will need to be removed. I will see a dermatologist soon but do you think it is worse then a simple removal? I am twelve.
Answer:
Skin cancer in young people, especially below the age of 13, is extremely uncommon and it is very possible that what you have is a congenital mole and nothing serious. It would not be a bad idea to have a dermatologist take a look at it especially if you or your parents are worried about it but I would be very, very surprised if it is anything to worry about. The most important thing for you is to make sure you keep your skin safe for the future and that you don’t do anything to hurt it like going to tanning parlors or getting sunburned.

its very alarming to see and hear that the cancer patients today is getting younger and younger, i think it is because of the technology advancement and of the tanning salons and parlors allowing to younger clients to use this kind of facility and treatment also the parents and adults that exposed their children and siblings to this kind of treatment at their young age.
