Does Lichen Planus indicate skin cancer?

I have oral lichen planus that is being treated with a local steroid. However, I am now getting dark red spots on my arms.

Answer:
No, lichen planus is not cancer and it is not a marker of cancer. It often does involve the mouth but also involves the skin. Rarely it can become cancerous in the mouth so you should be followed by your doctor periodically.
